What is a Wax Melt?

Wax melts have become extremely popular in the last few years, I receive so many messages from my customers every week telling me they are a ritual of sorts to them. They are about feeling good at home, feeling relaxed, they are about warmth and comfort and about creating a feeling of pride in your home.

Wax melts are a wickless candle, that release a far stronger and more consistent fragrance than a candle. This is because the flame from the tea light never comes into contact with the wax and fragrance.

Our Wax melts are made up of 6 individual cubes of wax, which have been blended with fragrance oils and cured for a period of time. You simply break off one cube and place it in the well of your wax burner and put a tealight underneath.

When you have had enough, you simply blow out the tea light and allow the wax to harden and then use again. Once the wax starts to lose its fragrance, simply remove and replace with a fresh cube.

How Long does a Wax Melt Last?

Each cube of wax should burn for 3-4 hours at one time before the scent throw begins to reduce so we recommend using a 4 hour tealight. Many people reuse a single cubes more than once. The strength is personal depending on people’s sense of smell. So judge it yourself, if you can’t smell it anymore, it’s time for a new melt!

6 Easy steps on how to change & clean your wax burner

The easiest way we’ve found is to -

• light a tealight as usual
• leave for around 3-5 seconds until the edges of the wax has melted
• gently press your fingers on the wax and it will slide out
• wipe access wax with kitchen paper/cotton wool
• add warm water & washing liquid into a basin in your sink and wipe gently
• let it dry naturally
